池上工業所アネックス / ANNEX OF IKEGAMI INDUSTRY INC.

わたし達はこれまでに七つの茶室を設計しました。これはそのひとつ、池上工業所アネックスの茶室「光庵」。床は小さな半円を描き、床壁は武蔵野の土壁、黒漆喰の壁に続く道庫の扉はインドシルクのテキスタイルで被い、天井は直径1センチのアルミ製のパイプの吊天井です。庭に面した二面3枚の障子は透明アクリル製の骨のため紙だけが立っているように見えます。昼間は明るい白い光で満たされますが、夜は銀天井の渋く静かな反射光で包まれます。

We have designed seven Japanese tea ceremony rooms. “Kou-an” is the one, designed at the annex of Ikegami Industry Inc. It is comprised of semi-circular “tokonoma”, Musashino earthen wall, black plaster wall, cabinet whose doors are covered with Indian silk and floating ceiling with aluminum tubes of 1 centimeter in diameter. Three sliding paper doors at two sides look like standing since they are supported by transparent acrylic frameworks. The space is filled with white light during the daytime while covered with peaceful reflection from the silver ceiling in the evening.
